Festival of Harmony Showcases Musical Talent at HCDSB!

WHAT:

On May 17 and May 22, 2019 the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) will be hosting the "5th Annual Festival of Harmony", to showcase the creative, musical talents of students across HCDSB!

WHEN:

Friday, May 17, 2019 10:00 AM

WHERE:

This year’s festival has expanded to two (2) days:

Friday, May 17, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School (2420 Sixth Line, Oakville, ON L6H 5Z8)

Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School (1145 Bronte St S, Milton, ON L9T 8B4)

Both events will take place at 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

WHY:

Thirteen (13) elementary instrumental programs will gather to celebrate our outstanding elementary school music programs across HCDSB!

This year's festival encourages students to collaborate and share their unique gifts with one another. A judging panel will evaluate the performances and provide constructive feedback.

Elementary schools across HCDSB will participate in a day full of musical performances and peer mentorship, along with their teachers and secondary students hosting the festival at Holy Trinity and Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary Schools.

The day will also include a variety of 'jam sessions' led by each of the participating schools!

*PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES ~ Members of the media interested in attending the Festival of Harmony are asked to make prior arrangements through the Board's media contacts.
